Trends I Love: Swinging Skirts

Happy New year! I know I promised photos from my night but unfortunately I completely forgot to take some. I hope that you all had a great night and most importantly all had someone to kiss at midnight!
So, aztec and edge used to rule my wardrobe, I loved anything whimsical, heavy boots, striking tops and mythical prints. Although I still love these trends, I've learnt to incorporate them in a different style. Because of this I never owned a large collection of skirts and they were always found at the back of my closet. However this season it's hard to pass by a shop window and not be in awe of the elegant flared, a-line or pleated skirts. The beautiful summery palette of skirts make them a must have for any season! I love the pairing of two great trends, peplum and a gorgeous flared skirt, a pairing that is difficult to master but when it is, it's absolute eye candy. And if you're not a fan of a flared skirt there's always the classic pencil skirt or a-line or maxi skirt which can be teemed with and of the trending colour palettes.

Label Loves: Finding a Keeper

Hope you're all well. Today I am especially excited because it's New Years Eve which means today I will be flying down to the city to celebrate the coming year with my closest friends. 

I don't know about you guys but this year finding the perfect new years number has been a definite struggle for both me and some of my friends. Even though we will be keeping it quite simple with just a few glasses of champagne at a friends place while watching the fireworks, we still want to enter the New Year with a bang! And luckily my most trusted and favourite brand Finders Keepers has provided a number of gorgeous selections which are simple and spectacular. And while I personally will be sporting a design from one of their different collections I'll keep that a surprise for tomorrows post!

Anyway hope your New Year celebrations are spectacular and everyone has someone to kiss at midnight! ;)

Trends I Love: Blazers

So I don't really think that this is a trend, more an item but I'm stumped for a classification so that'll have to do. Anyway, I do, I absolutely love them! Maybe it's my slow progression into a change of style but I've found myself completely head over heels. 

Blazers have that simple way of turning an outfit into something completely new, just with one simple item. They add class and a polished finish to any combination, whether it's denim shorts or a little black dress. And the best thing about a blazer is that it can come in a number of different shapes and styles to match your body type so they're flattering on any figure. 

And because of the array of materials that blazers come in they're now an all year round item, not just brought out for the chilly season. And of course while the styles and colours may change blazers are a timeless item worth forking out a few extra dollars for an investment piece.
But whether its from oxford street or the high street it's almost impossible to go wrong with a blazer. With a light and bright blazer for summer and a warm and thick blazer for winter your pretty much set for the whole year!

I've Missed You!

 

Hi guys,

I don't know if it's because I'm on holidays and I have a lot more spare time but lately I've been trolling my own blog reminiscing on posts past and I've decided that I really do miss blogging. And I don't want to make any false promises because new years resolutions hardly ever are followed through so I will only hope that I'll be more present on my own blog and hopefully watch it grow.
You guys were with me on my journey from the start, almost a whole year ago! And I'll try not to neglect any more. So here's to the New Year and a fashionably fresh start!

Fitness for Thought

So you may or may not be so concerned where I've been over the last year! And yes I know it's probably really annoying because all I'm doing is posting stuff here and there. But the reason for that is that I've got a new blog! OMG!
So I've had a big change in my interests and while fashion is still a major part of that by insufficient funds as a student has forced me to slow down on my clothing expenditure and focus on my health. And so Ive made a health and fitness blog! I hope that if you have the time you can check it out!
